Vox Oraculus with The Cabiri
at the Youngstown Cultural Center, Seattle, WA

Picture
Join the Cabiri for our 25th anniversary season as we peer through the mist to divine the future in Vox Oraculus, a new production exploring the archetype of oracles through aerial acrobatics, contemporary dance, and storytelling. Get tickets now via Eventbrite!
The desire to know what the future holds is a timeless theme, and stories of seers, oracles, and diviners are amongst the most ancient of humanity’s myths. From the Greek Pythia to the Norse epic sagas of Odin and prophetic Mimir, step into the unknown with us as we explore these ancient tales in a series of acrobatic theatre vignettes. Prepare to be mesmerized and inspired by our aerialists, dancers, and musicians! Tickets will be on sale soon!
Vox Oraculus features an original, live score performed by celadon and vox vespertinus. Alongside the Cabiri’s troupe of aerialists and acrobats, guest aerialists Ivanna Wei and Jody Poth and guest dancers Rosemary Adams, Natalie Bell, and Annie St. Marie will grace the stage for this limited engagement production.
Please Note: Due to mature subject matter, Vox Oraculus is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Doors will open approximately 30 minutes prior to show time each night. Please allow ample time for parking as the venue parking lot is small; additional free street parking is 2-3 blocks from the theater. Metro routes 120 and 125 stop immediately in front of the venue. We invite you to stay for a post-show talkback with the artists immediately following each performance. Vox Oraculus may contain low-odor theatrical haze and/or strobe lighting effects.
